Happy New Year from Cooper Cottages! We hope you had a warm celebration with your loved ones.
We have many hopes for 2021 and this is the time when we usually create our New Year’s Resolutions! It would always put you in a good mood and give you something to look forward to during the year!
Here are a few ideas:
1.Get moving!
2020 hasn’t been the best time for activity, but that doesn’t mean 2021 should be the same! We can always use some creativity to find small ways we can move more throughout our day. For example, having to walk on your lunch break if you’re working from home. Trying out a new hobby, such as running, dancing, or tennis. There are so many ways we can stay active, try something out that inspires you!
2. Spend more time with your favourite people
This is a resolution we have every year. Spending time with your loved ones is one of the most important and rewarding things you could ever do. If you prioritise keeping in touch with them, no matter where you are, it would be so beneficial for your mental health! Try and add them to our daily routine or do something completely new!
3. Try out something new
This is where we would typically add travel but travelling in 2021 will feel like something new! In order to keep our enthusiasm, creativity, and passion for life, it is always a great idea to try out new things! Plan to see a place you’ve always wanted to see when restrictions permit us to do so. Try out a new recipe, even better – a new cuisine! There are so many benefits to trying out new things! Here is another idea for an activity!
4. Volunteer or support your local community
This is a great one. In 2020, there was a big campaign to support small local businesses and so many volunteering opportunities emerged! It is a great way to support your community. We all stayed together in 2020, let’s extend that to 20211
5. Be environmentally mindful
One thing that is quite universal is our desire to save the planet. Try out new ways to help the environment, go litter picking, try recycling if you haven’t done so, go cycling instead of driving somewhere when possible. It is so fulfilling to help the environment and local animals. Also, staying more often in nature inspires it even more!
This is a shortlist of ideas for New Year’s Resolutions. But we are certain you have your own really creative ones! What are your resolutions for 2021?
