Tigh Muileann is a spacious self-catering holiday home in the heart of Killin, offering great views over the iconic Falls of Dochart and Dochart Bridge. This beautifully furnished retreat blends comfort with character, making it ideal for families or groups looking to explore the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park.
Inside, you’ll find a well-equipped kitchen, a separate dining room with an open fire, and a cosy living room with a wood-burning stove—perfect for relaxing after a day of adventure. The lower level includes a king-size bedroom, a triple room, and a family bathroom, while to the rear, there’s a single and twin room with a shared Jack-and-Jill shower room. On the upper floor, the newly renovated Master Suite (Summer 2023) boasts an en-suite shower room, sitting area with Smart TV, and spectacular views of the falls.
Outside, enjoy the private garden, explore the nearby hiking trails, or take a short stroll into Killin, a charming village with pubs, restaurants, shops, and local amenities. Whether you’re here for outdoor activities or a relaxing getaway, Tigh Muileann is the perfect Highland escape.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Ideal Holiday Location
“So close to the falls. You can see them from all the front facing rooms and hear them. Great selection of rooms and very comfortable. Plentiful supply of logs for the fire. Additional fridge freezer in the utility room outside which was great and there is a good sized co-op in the village to buy essentials. Brilliant people watching place and the suite upstairs is just beautiful to relax in. Lovely gift shop next door but the hotel across the bridge was not open when we were there. Would definitely recommend you visit.”

GROUND FLOOR
Fitted kitchen with hob, oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and kettle, base and wall units. The adjacent dining-room features a large table with bench seating for up to 8 guests. There is also an open fire in this room with drying rack above.
From the hallway you enter the sitting room with wood burning stove, leather sofas, an armchair, coffee table and TV on oak unit. There is a king size bedroom, triple bedroom and a family bathroom on this level.
Up two steps from the hallway you will find a single and a twin bedroom with adjoining Jack and Jill shower room.
Please note that flexible sleeping arrangements can be achieved when two single beds are joined together to make a double bed in the twin room and triple bedroom.
UPSTAIRS
On the upper floor, you have the new King Suite with a private Shower room. TV on oak unit, Standard lamp, chair with footstool, bedside tables and a wardrobe.
OUTSIDE
There is an outhouse where you will find a freezer and washing machine, sink, a hand dryer and hooks for wet outdoor clothes.
The log store is at the end of the Outhouse
Gravel paths take you to a well established garden area with ramp access to the patio area.
Storage for outdoor equipment can be found in the large shed to the rear of the property where you can also park up to three cars.

“This is a house and location that won’t disappoint. It has everything for a family group break. There isn’t anything negative to say. If you also arranged the weather then we’ll done, it was perfect. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend if you were looking for somewhere, there isn’t anything better. Thanks for everything.”
NEARBY
You are a short walk from all local restaurants, bars, and the local convenience store in the village. There is a 9-hole golf course in Killin which welcomes all visitors.
Tigh Muileann is well situated for visiting the historical sites of Finlarig Castle, the Blackhouse and the wider area of Perthshire.
For the outdoor enthusiast Killin outdoor centre hires bike, kayaks, and Canadian Canoes it stocks a good selection of maps and outdoor equipment.
Annual Local events held include the Killin Highland Games, Killin Agricultural show and the Killin Music Festival.
Access to the National Cycle Network Route 7 is close by.
Our local munro, Ben Lawers is a short drive away. Ben Lawers Nature reserve has the most celebrated collection of rare mountain plants which proves a big attraction for visitors.
You are a short drive from Loch Tay where you can enjoy a Loch Safari.
Fortingall Kirk and Old Yew tree is worth a visit with the pictish stones and 5000 year old tree.
