About The Old Schoolhouse, Lochearnhead
The Old Schoolhouse is a self catering holiday cottage, sitting at the West end of Loch Earn with stunning views down the loch towards St Fillans and our local Munro Ben Vorlich and surrounding mountains. In the heart of the of the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park a good central base for touring the Highlands and enjoying the dramatic scenery of Rob Roy Country. Just over an hour from Perth, Glasgow or Edinburgh.
You enter the cottage into a superb well-equipped modern kitchen / dining area with seating for 4, with two breakfast seats. From here you enter the spacious lounge with a stone feature fireplace with wood burning stove (logs are provided), leather seating, and coffee table. Freeview TV.
The king size en-suite bedroom leads off the lounge, with fitted wardrobe and drawers plus a feature wood burning stove (for effect only not for use). The twin bedroom leads off the corridor and has a fitted wardrobe. There is a family bathroom with spa bath, sink and toilet.

KITCHEN-DINING ROOM
The spacious kitchen contains a ceramic hob and electric oven, microwave, fridge-freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. There is an open plan dining area with table seating for four and also a breakfast bar with two seats. WiFi is available.
LOUNGE
There is a feature fireplace with a welcome basket of logs provided, leather sofa seating and a television with DVD player. There is also a small table with chair in the lounge and a coffee table before the fire.
BEDROOMS
There is one king-size en-suite bedroom to the front of the house and a twin bedroom at the rear. Both have fitted wardrobes.

There is a family bathroom with a spa bath, shower, toilet and washbasin.

Parking is available beside the house on the driveway.

“This is our third visit to The Old Schoolhouse and it was as lovely as our other visits. The house is well equipped and perfect for a relaxing and comfortable stay. It’s so handy as a base for visiting Edinburgh or Glasgow. I’m sure we will be back.”

Conveniently situated on the A84, nearby the local Lochearnhead Village Store, just a short walk away.
Two village pubs / restaurants are within walking distance or a short drive away you have the Golden Larches or Mhor 84 at Balquhidder Station.You have a choice of golf courses, all clubs offer a warm welcome to visitors at St. Fillans, Comrie, Killin or Callander, a short golf break for occasional players or try more than one course.The National Cycle route runs through Lochearnhead so if you are looking for a cycling holiday the route 7 offers a great family day out with cycle hire available locally.
For the keen fishermen permits can be bought from the village shop and boat hire is available on Loch Earn so you can enjoy your fishing holiday.
If you are thinking of visiting for the annual Black Faced Sheep Shearing Competition, Highland Games Balvaig Music Festival, Mhor Festival or any other event, book early to avoid disappointment.
If you want to see more of Scotland you can take in the breathtaking scenery of Glencoe (40 mins), Pitlochry (60 mins) and Oban and the Isles (50 mins).
