Beautiful part of the world
“With a fabulous view over Loch Earn, the Loch House offers everything you could want from a holiday home. As a base for exploring this beautiful part of Scotland, the Loch House couldn’t be better. Highly recommended.”
The Loch House is situated in Lochearnhead on the north bank of Loch Earn, known as the epicentre of Scottish watersports. The Loch House benefits from being only 100 metres away from the Loch Earn Wakeschool, so first class watersports are only a stone’s throw away. Additionally, the Loch House is a perfect base for hill climbing, Munro bagging, and also offers excellent links for cyclists, where families will enjoy traffic free passage to both Callander and Killin via National Cycle Route 7. Such a great position
“The Loch House is in such a great position – amazing views and a short stroll to the edge of the Loch. We highly recommend both the hotel, the village of Lochearnhead and Central Scotland. We’ve had a amazing time here with the family with lots to do for everyone!”
Downstairs
The entrance hall welcomes guests into the Loch House from where access is gained to a large family lounge , and a bar area with wood burning stove, and guests will benefit from wall to wall glazing offering panoramic views of Loch Earn. The new open plan kitchen/diner/living area will allow guests to experience over 80 square metres of open plan living, all of which overlooks Loch Earn at the front, and the feature garden at the rear of the property. The newly fitted luxury German Kitchen with integrated appliances and feature island with breakfast bar area, will offer a great space for the self catering holidaymaker. There is also a downstairs toilet, and access to a washing machine and tumble drier. Guests will also benefit from a large lockable store, for secure storage of bikes and kayaks etc.
Upstairs
Most of the bedrooms are situated on the 1st floor , with four of the bedrooms directly overlooking the loch, from a height & proximity that offers incredible views. There are 7 bathrooms (or shower rooms) available for guests to benefit from additional privacy. Renovation & decoration is taking place before the 2025 holiday season in order to create a more luxurious proposition for guests.
The Loch House welcomes families, groups and children, but is unfortunately not currently suitable for wheelchair access due to stepped access. No pets.
Nearby, explore the scenic town of Killin with its iconic Falls of Dochart, or visit Balquhidder Glen, famously known for its connection to Rob Roy MacGregor, the legendary Scottish folk hero. Just a short drive away, the area around Lochearnhead is filled with quaint villages, historic castles, and vibrant local markets, making it an ideal spot for discovering the heart of Scotland’s natural beauty and cultural treasures.
A short distance from the hotel is the National Cycle Network Route 7 which connects several villages in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. Offering walking and cycling for miles, south towards Balquhidder and Callander, and north towards Killin. The village of Lochearnhead also has a restaurant at The Clachan Hotel.
The Loch House offers loch-side accommodation on a scale rarely seen. Sumptuously set on the banks of Loch Earn, this large home offers 7 large bedrooms sleeping 16, with 7 bathrooms. The property is being further enhanced before Spring 2025 in order to offer an even more luxurious experience to guests, including the creation of a luxury open plan kitchen, dining and living area where guests can relax whilst overlooking the stunning loch. All the bedrooms and bathrooms are being redecorated to ensure guests gain the best holiday experience possible.
Glasgow, Edinburgh and Perth are 1 hour drive away. Glencoe for skiing in the winter months is less than 1 hour away.
The Kelpies and Falkirk wheel tourist attractions are also within one hour
Stirling Castle and the National Monument of Scotland (Wallace Monument) 45mins drive
