As Mother’s day is approaching, are you prepared to celebrate? Despite the circumstances we are still in, holidays such as this one, are all about bringing us together. They give us an amazing chance to slip out of our usual routine and show appreciation for our loved ones. This is our short guide on how to celebrate Mother’s Day at home:
1. If you are in the same bubble
Make her feel special indoors or outdoors if the weather permits! Cook her lunch or make her a cup of coffee, pick up flowers and spend the day in appreciation! Mother figures do so much for us, use this day to care for them instead!
Here are some ideas on how you can cook them something special, or, why not order from a local restaurant and have some rest on a Sunday?
Maybe go for a walk in nature to get away from the everyday events! You can find a map of all walking paths within your area and see if you can explore places you haven’t been before! The Scottish scenery will also turn out as beautiful photos. It is a nice way to try something different.
2. If you are not in the same bubble
Just because you cannot physically see them, does not mean you cannot show your appreciation! You can send them flowers and a card from local florists within your area, or alternatively, you can send them a gift! It could be something handmade or collages of pictures, maybe that one thing they have been wanting for a long time! If they have been talking about wanting to get away for a while now, why not pick up a holiday gift voucher to give them something more to look forward to?
You can also call them on Zoom and spend time with them that way. You can watch movies together, catch up or make a slideshow of old photos you can show them!
From so many different options, how did you decide to celebrate Mother’s Day?
