Have you thought about going away for the Christmas holidays in Scotland? After two years of the pandemic, it is a great opportunity for the entire family to be together again on Christmas, or, if you would prefer to just be with your loved one, away from it all. Not only is it relaxing and peaceful but also, there are many interesting events across Central Scotland you could attend.
Cosy nights in with the log burning stove and Christmas movies, as well as scenic walks through the day while exploring the lovely towns across Central Scotland!
Perthshire
Comrie and Crieff are a great location to spend the Christmas holidays with your family. From cosy homes such as Glen Cottage or Ruchearn where you can find all the amenities you need, to the lovely local shops and cafes you can explore. There are options for Christmas dinner as well where you would not have to worry about it! Archray House offers a lovely semi-prepared Christmas dinner where you would have to just finish the cooking at the accommodation. A lovely idea for you and your loved ones if you stay close to Perth and Edinburgh.
Killin
Killin offers beautiful winter scenery with loads of things to do. There are many walking routes you can enjoy around Loch Tay during the day. There are perfect spots for couples only such as Morenish Mews, or if you would like to stay in a cosy property with a log-burning stove such as Fern Cottage.
Lochearnhead
Lochearnhead offers a peaceful stay for your family with many scenic walks around Loch Earn. From the BLiSS Trail to St. Fillans, you can have a look at our blog post on Top Places to Visit in Lochearnhead for more inspiration. As it is a more rural destination, it tends to be booked quite quickly but there are still some available lovely properties such as Osprey View and Allt Beag.
