As we are seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, there are still more holidays to celebrate and moments to enjoy until then. Easter is just around the corner, so here are some ideas on how to celebrate Easter at home.
1. Chocolate
At this time of the year, there is chocolate everywhere and you have the opportunity to try as you want to! Especially during these times, it is about the little things that could make our day. So why not try something different and treat yourself with locally made chocolate? Have you tried Iain Burnett Highland Chocolatier, located in Perthshire? You can order chocolate boxes or hot chocolate to your home! There are other many local chocolatiers so why not treat yourself and support local businesses as well?
2. Easter egg hunt
This is perfect if you have kids who love Easter. Who says you cannot have an egg hunt right in your home? You can make a “treasure hunt” map with them as well if you have the time, making the holiday even more special!
3. DIY Projects
Another idea would be to engage in DIY projects! We have a guide for DIY Easter decorations, however, you can do whatever you want. This is a great time to get crafty, try out new things, and see what you can make. Another idea would be to learn how to plate the table for Easter properly. Decorating the table with your own made decorations can be so rewarding!
4. Easter feast
This is one of the most fun parts! Bake something new and wholesome, or make a big Easter feast! There are various recipes on how to bake Easter sweets, or enjoy an entire five-course meal! You can enjoy an Easter brunch, as well as a Sunday roast. You can also try something different, have a look at the different Easter traditions around the world and maybe you can incorporate something different this year?
Whatever you try this year, enjoy the holiday and take the time off to spend with your family. Happy Easter holidays from Cooper Cottages.
