What does a staycation stand for? It is a holiday that does not require you to travel very far from your home. This is perfect if you love spontaneous trips or if you want to go away for a weekend because it does not require that much planning! And what a better time than November to go away with your loved one when it will be quiet and peaceful, just after the school holidays! Furthermore, short staycations are the safest option during these times if you are uncomfortable booking in advance.
So what can you do if you go away?
Choose the right spot for you
Make sure that wherever you are going, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding area as Scottish nature is not something to miss out on! Rural villages and stunning scenic walks are a must when it comes to trips in Scotland! Do you prefer historic sites or would you rather go hiking? It is all up to you, make sure you choose your favourite place!
If you’re stuck for ideas, for example, Chauffeurs Cottage is situated in the lovely village of Comrie which is such a good base to start exploring nature, go cycling and also has the famous White Church.
What to do
Not too sure what is open where and what you can do? Just pick a few good movies and cosy up in you home away from home! Making hot chocolate or tea, making your favourite meal with fresh local produce, exploring the area, and just enjoying the peace and quiet!
A change of scenery is always a good idea. Taking a break, switching off, or even working away from home gives you a different perspective and it is always a good option when you want to just change things a little bit. With so many places to stay and things to see, there is something for everyone!
