“This flat seriously couldn’t be in a better location; most of Stirling is accessible on foot from here and the rest of Scotland is just a train ride away. The flat is modern, clean and well appointed, and has incredible views through the multitude of windows. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful, and even provided some Tunnock’s Tea Cakes on our arrival – yum! We had all the things we needed for our 1-year old: high chair (brand new) and crib, and the flat was safe for him and our 3-year old daughter to explore and run around. The kitchen has almost everything you need – lots of plates, glasses, mugs, etc. My family and I were very comfortable here and will likely use it again.” – Richard (via AirBnB)

“This is the perfect rental for a holiday in Scotland or, as in our case, for visiting our son at Glasgow University. The ancient town of Stirling is historically rich as a destination in it’s own right and the railway and bus stations, which are extremely handy from the flat, make it easy to explore Scotland from this beautiful central location. Hire cars are also available nearby. The rooms are well appointed and bright and the views are spectacular – eg Stirling Castle and Wallace’s Monument beckon and give a feeling of being close to the storied history of Scotland – much of which unfolded in this very region of the Forth Valley. Many of the hills and lochs for which Scotland is famous are handy nearby for wonderful hiking and day trip possibilities – and a wee jaunt to the nearby town of Callander, correctly referred to as “The Gateway to the Highlands”, gives a sense of the beautiful countryside to the North and West for which Scotland is so rightly famous. The Penthouse offers an unusual sense of privacy and security, being on the top floor. Access is very convenient by lift from the gated car park below, which makes luggage management very easy. Sometimes it’s the intangible things that make a place seem special and one has the feeling here that the owner cares and has invested a love and attention to detail which is rare – such as the beautiful set of prints adorning the walls by famed Scottish artist Graeme Baxter. I have no hesitation in recommending this penthouse for a place of relaxation or a base for working in Stirling – or nearby cities and universities in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Perth, St Andrews etc. Thank you!” – Alasdair (via Holiday Lettings)

“We had a great time in this beautiful and spacious flat. Amazing views—we could see both the castle and the Wallace monument from the living room.” – Jonathan (via AirBnB)

“The living space was spacious and clean. Mathew thought of all the little things that make your stay easy . The location was wonderful close to the train or bus . Places to eat or shop within walking distance . The lift put it over the top for us . We were there from the USA for our daughter graduation. Her 85 year old Grandmother was able to go and be a part of her achievement because of the wheelchair friendly building and living space . It was a vacation to remember and a large part was because we had a wonderful host! Glad we skipped the hotels !” – Lisa (via AirBnB)
