Perth City Centre will be bustling with activity throughout the whole weekend of Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th November 2017 when the Christmas lights will be officially switched on. There will be something for everyone with street entertainers, reindeer, fun fair rides, ice rink, music and entertainment.
The Christmas Parade will start from Thrimblerow at 5.30pm on Saturday and will make it’s way to South Street/Speygate.
The Light Switch on will take place at 6.15pm and some sensational acts will be there to kick-start Perth’s glorious Winter Festival during the afternoon and into the evening. The city centre will be illuminated by thousands of lights and immediately after the switch on has taken place a spectacular display of fireworks will take place across the River Tay.
Other events taking place over the two days will include a Festival Ice Rink, Chocolate and Gin Street Fest, Perth Christmas Feast on the Sunday afternoon and Perthshire Winter Cake Fest where Perthshire will be created with edible, frosty landscapes, snow-topped buildings and tasty Christmas decorations.
