About Glen Ogle Lodge

A well-appointed, dog friendly, log cabin near Loch Earn and Ben Vorlich. The cabin boast a new deck with hot tub and seating to enjoy views over the valley and relaxing after a day on the hills. There is a cosy wood burning stove in the lodge that is a joy to come back to after a day out on the hills.The property has been recently extended to include a new bright living room with great views.  Perfect for short breaks or walking holidays with local munros to explore and right boasting easy access to the sustrans cycle network directly behind the property.  Glen Ogle Lodge is in the village of Lochearnhead, situated in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park in rural Perthshire.  The cabin sleeps 6 with a double, twin and bunkbed room. It is great for families or groups of friends.

There are views of Loch Earn from the front of the property and stunning starry skies. There are two bars and restaurants within walking distance and the village store, where you can purchase fishing permits for the loch, is just a short walk away.

INSIDE

As you enter the cabin to your right is the dining room with wood burning stove, dining table for 6 and 3 fireside seats next to the wood burning stove. Perfect for relaxing over dinner with a view over the Loch  or a game of cards after a day on the hills. Plenty of storage is available off the dining room. The dining room leads on to the well equipped compact kitchen including full size oven, 4 burner hob, microwave, toaster and kettle. The kitchen has all the utensils you need to cook your meals. Also leading from the dining room is the newly built living room which is basked in light and amazing 270 degree views around the surrounding countryside. The living room has comfy seating for 6, a TV with an amazon TV stick allowing you to access your own prime, netflix or Disney plus account as well as a table and seats for 4, perfect for your morning tea.

BEDROOMS AND BATHROOM

The cabin boasts 3 bedrooms, 1 double,1 twin and 1 bunk room so is perfect for a family or a group of up to 6 friends. There is a separate wc and a shower/ bath.

OUTSIDE

Leading from the living room, patio doors lead out to a newly built deck with the hot tub and 6 seater dining table enjoying amazing views over the valley. Parking is available outside the log cabin with access up a sloped gravel path and steps. The cabin is surrounded by open plan grass, ideal for kids *though please note not enclosed for dogs. Straight behind the property you can access the cycle route and enjoy miles of off road cycling and walking without having even needing to get in a car.

NEARBY

A short walk from the lodge are the shores of Loch Earn where guests can enjoy fishing (permits available locally). Nearby wildlife includes deer, red squirrels and osprey. There are two bars and restaurants in Lochearnhead as well as a village shop and post office. There is also access to the Sustrans Route 7 National Cycle Network, and several munros including Ben Vorlich.
