​This second floor self catering holiday apartment is situated on the edge of The Gleneagles Hotel grounds near Auchterarder. Perfect for touring Perthshire and beyond, with easy rail and road links to Perth, Dundee, St Andrews, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and the north. The apartment has a double en-suite room, twin room and a separate television room with a sofa-bed.

“We have a wonderful 4 night stay at Guthrie Court. It is ideally located by Gleneagles, opposite the riding school and 10 minutes from the Dormy clubhouse.
The apartment was very spacious, immaculately clean and extremely comfortable.
All communications were efficient and friendly. We will hopefully return in the future.”

44 Guthrie Court is a second floor apartment. The accommodation is accessed by a communal locked door.

LIVING AREA

There is a spacious lounge with sofa seating, Freeview television, and views towards Gleneagles, where you can often spot deer grazing nearby. There is also an outside balcony with table and seating for two. The lounge also has a dining table and seating.

KITCHEN

The fully-fitted kitchen is located next to the lounge-dining room, and has an oven, hob, kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge-freezer, washer, dryer and dishwasher.

BEDROOMS

There is a double en-suite room; a twin bedroom; and a television room that can be converted with a double sofa bed.

BATHROOMS

The en-suite from the double room has a shower, toilet and sink. There is also a family bathroom with bath, shower over the bath, toilet and sink

“Our stay here was first class. The apartment is well laid out, very comfortable and peaceful.
We enjoyed watching Red Squirrels, pheasants and deer from the comfort of our living room and walks around the hotel grounds.”

The Gleneagles Hotel is within walking distance and offers non-residents use of some facilities. The Activities School is just 100 yards from Guthrie Court. The Spa, hotel and restaurants which include The Dormy House, Deseo, The Strathearn and the world-famous Andrew Fairlie restaurant. Golf may be booked independently.

The nearby Burgh of Auchterarder is well worth a visit. Shop for all your needs, with the award winning butcher shops,Simon Howie and McCallums; bakery, Ellie’s Cellar off-licence, Co-op supermarket, Lloyds Chemist, wonderful ladies clothes shops such as Bear Necessities and Forget-me-Not and traditional tweeds and fashions from Hoggs (visit the Mill Shop too).

Quite apart from all the amenities on site, the wonderfully central location of this apartment means that visitors have an almost inexhaustible list of places to visit within a day’s drive. Inevitably visitors are drawn to Edinburgh and its many treasures, to Glasgow for its galleries and vibrant culture, to St Andrews, ‘Home of Golf’, and to Pitlochry with its ‘Theatre in the Hills’ and all these can be reached in an hour’s drive from Gleneagles Village. Stirling with its magnificent castle, the Wallace Monument and University, Dundee, city of’ Captain Scott’s ship ‘The Discovery’, Crieff, a pleasant little Highland town and Dunkeld, a charming Cathedral town on the banks of the Tay are all reached in under an hour. The Trossachs, Loch Lomond, the Ayrshire coast, Glamis Castle, Falkland Palace and the Fife fishing villages, the list of options is endless. You will be certain of one thing – no day is long enough and we hope you will want to return again and again. Perthshire has 40 golf courses and most of the championship courses in Scotland are within reach.
