This week we were dreaming of long hikes, forest bathing and days spent outdoors reconnecting with nature, so we decided to contact an expert in the field. Eco tour guide Patrick Phillips founded Eternal Mountain in 2019 to share his passion for travel and local history. Eternal Mountain offers a wide range of walking tours around Breadalbane, so whether you are looking for a 2-hour tour or a full day hiking experience, whether you are an artist looking for a chance to further explore your creative side or a history buff wanting to learn more about local points of interest, you will find a tour for you on eternalmountaintourguide.co.uk. Here’s what Patrick said about his business.
How would you describe Eternal Mountain in one sentence?
Rediscover your connection with Nature.
What can people expect from one of your tours?
Meaning, place and destiny.
What do your customers love most about your tours?
The attention I give them and how I bring the connection between them and Nature, walking.
What do you like most about taking people on tours of Breadalbane?
How they have the opportunity to become giants.
What’s your favourite destination for a one-day tour and why?
Meall Dhuin Croisg, meaning “mountain of the crossing hillock” is both my favourite mountain and walking destination, because there is so much to experience. It’s not always about what we see that is essential, it’s about the spaces we can walk into…becoming a world in itself, rediscovered. Opening the imagination.
Do you have any tips to help outdoor enthusiasts cope with lockdown/social distancing?
Dream, and keep dreaming. Our dreams awake are essential to our being in the world and becoming. No one can survive without the imagination, it is central to our daily focus and spiritual evolution. Humanity therefore with a destiny. Every dream we have awake is the opportunity to open a world within ourselves and with the world. It will change and the improve the quality of your life.
Make it a reality.
